Tehran Habersham (2nd Post)

This was originally my second post of the first trimester but I did something wrong and created my own blog folder- thing by mistake so this blog was never counted for. Therefore, since I do not really feel like typing I just copied and pasted it from that folder to save time. The independent novel I am reading is called the hound of the Baskerville. The Author of this book is Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. This book is categorized as a mystery book and if you have ever read the book you would know that the main character is Sherlock Holmes. In almost every novel that contains the character, Sherlock Holmes is usually a mystery novel. To the best of my knowledge, Sherlock Holmes is a man greatly influenced by logic. I am still ignorant of Sherlock Holmes’s methods of trying to solve cases. I was told that this book was different from the rest of the Sherlock Holmes chronicles because they find Sir Charles Baskerville

The Kite Runner- pages 1-43
I’m just going to cut to the chase here. It’s Thursday night. Tomorrow is Parent teacher day. I don’t feel like doing this, but I have to anyway. So here is the summary. If the first part of the story what happened was what usually happens at the beginning of most stories. First, the main character Amir introduces his father he says that his father is one of the most successful people in Afghanistan. He talks about all his accomplishments. Then, he introduces us to his friend Hassan. Hassan is Amir’s friend, and servant. They both live two totally different times. Amir’s father is rich, and they live a great life. Hassan’s father, however, is the servant of Amir’s dad. They are poor, and they live a crummy life. Hassan and Amir, however, are good friends. Almost every day, they both go and hang out by the tree in Amir’s yard. He also introduces his father’s friend, Rahim Khan. In the section, Amir makes it clear that Rahim Khan is more encouraging than his father. When Amir writes a story, his baba (father) does not even look at it, when Rahim tells him that he should become a writer. At the end of the section, Amir introduces Assef; the bully of their town. Hassan and Amir are confronted by assef. The section ends with Hassan threatening Assef with a sling shot. Assef says “I’m a very patient person. This doesn’t end today. Believe me.”

This portion of the story was interesting. It set up the characters pretty well, and it might have hinted at the conflict. The events, however, were really boring. Nothing major really happened until the end of the section. That is probably one of the reasons I did not read as much this week.

Breaking Dawn (again)
uh like 60 pages in the 200 rangee.

So, Jacob decides to break off on his own and Seth and Leah follow him. They keep saying it's a new "pack" but Jacob says he just wants to be alone. While Jacob is visiting at the Cullens, they discover bella is so weak because the baby is a vampire and what do vampires feed on? Blood. So Bella starts to drink blood and becomes stronger. But, unfortunetly, the baby becomes stronger too. The baby starts breaking Bella's ribs. Bella overcomes it though and is finally starting to move on her own. When Jacob leaves back for his new "pack" Paul, Jared, Quil and Brady show up and beg them to come back. He says he just wants things to cool first. The Cullens decide to open up there house to the werewolves so they can stay there and get clothes and have food. Also, Alice loves having Jacob there because it makes her horrible headaches go away since she can't see the future with him there.

The books okay so far I guess. I hear it gets better towards the end. But whatever (:

Go Ask Alice
Pgs. 0-End (I have started a new book, but I am posting this anyway since so far, that book is not very interesting)

First, I would like to say the book is pretty disturbing. It is all about drugs and the problems the horrible items give you. It starts and ends as a diary of a 14 year-old girl over a three year time period. Alice, a made up name, moves away from her home town. She has obsessive-compulsive disorder, and possibly deppression. She is always so worried about her not being happy and her family in which she thinks they hate her. She and her family moves, which is also quite unpleasant, and that is why she starts drugs. Well, the moving part no so much but because she hates it so much she goes to her grandmothers house and she does LSD with her old, well new friends. She has these major problems which take her to San Francisco where she starts her own boutique with a drug friend. After being harassed in many ways (in which I will not describe), she heads back home where she gets family support and continues on drugs, believe it or not. She again leaves her house, being high and hitchhikes to Oregon. She meets people and then again comes back home. Not much happened there. She has all kind of sexual relations, all of which happen when she is on drugs. She comes home meeting kids who she actually loves, and resolves (again) to stay off drugs. It actually works and she stops writing. In the epilogue, it says she died three weeks after she stopped writing form some type of overdose, whether accidental or premeditated

Other paragraph

I liked the book a little bit. It was really interesting however to see how a person reacts to drugs and the real things they can make you do. That was the best part. Also, I like how the point of the book was to show that drugs are a major problem in this world and that people die everyday because of drugs.

okey dokey.
so im stilllll on peter and the secrets of rundoon.
renee androckitis (:
So now that peter is with molly, george, leonard, bakari, slightly, james, ted, prentiss, thomas, tootles, and hook, on the ship, they are going to attack the attackers on molisk island. Peter and company is going to molisk island on the flying ship. The readers do not yet know of the battle plan, and the Scorpians are fleeing because they are cowards. Now Peter and Company are on the ship and are hiding, while the scorpians are preparing for the battle.

Because the reader doesnt really know what the plan to attack is, it makes you want to keep reading. this book is full of suspense and that is a good thing. i just hope the ending of this book isnt one of those ones that keeps you guessing because that reeaaly makes me mad.

Tex
pp. 1-49

I have switched from Breaking Dawn (having trouble getting through) to Tex by S.E. Hinton same author as The Outsiders one of my favorite books.

So, Tex and his older brother Mason live by themselves because their mother has died from pneumonia and their father is off riding the rodeo circuit. But Tex and Mason have not heard from their father for five months and they have no money. Mason ends up selling their horses to get money and Tex loved his horse, Negrito, more than anything else in the world. When Tex finds out that Mason sold Negrito, the two brothers get into a great big fight and Mason beats up Tex. Mason loves his brother though and he really didn't mean to hurt him - I guess Mason was just frustrated.
The Collins family lives near Tex and Mason. Bob Collins is Mason's best friend and Johnny Collins is Tex's. Tex, 14, has a thing for Jamie, 12, who is Johnny's sister. The Collins family has money and their father does not like that the kids hang out with Tex and Mason. Mason is straight laced and a great basketball player. Tex likes to have fun and even though he knows his brother loves him, he keeps hoping that their Pop will come home. Mason thinks that Pop has deserted them. Mason doesn't go to the fair because he wants to save money. He gives Tex 3 dollars to go and Bob Collins drives Johnny and Tex there. They go on lots of scary rides and they see a fortune teller who tells each boy that they will stay (as opposed to some people who go). Noone really knows what she means by that though. On the way home from the fair, they stop at Charlie Collins' house - he gives them lots of alcohol and Tex gets drunk for the first time in his life. Mason doesn't get mad at him though and he takes care of him when he throws up and when he sleepwalks. Mason asks Tex why he always finds Tex sleepwalking near the front door and Tex says because he remembrs when he was 3 years old and their mom and dad had a big fight and their mom wandered out in the snow. It was right after that that their mother died.

So far, I really like this book and I am looking forward to reading some more.

Kite Runner

# Of pages- not enough.

I will not bore you with a really long summary of my book, because quite frankly, I don’t have one. This week, I’ve probably only read about twenty pages. Another reason why I’m not going to bore you is because I don’t feel like writing it. For those of you who still have a bead time of 8:30, you’d know how tiered I’d be right now, writing this at 10:21 P.M.; it’s also the night after the holiday concert. If you want proof, here it is.

It was a dark and stormy night. Thunder was cracking, and lightning was turning night into day. My stomach started to rumble. I went down stairs. I opened the cabinet, and there it was. A box of glucose and corn syrup with a leprechaun on it. Despite the fact that it was totally unhealthy, and could clog up my arteries, I ate it anyway. After I was done eating, I put my bowl away. And then it happened. I went to put the cereal away, and BAM I was at my refrigerator. I was going to put the evil leprechaun in the fridge. I must have been really tiered to do that.

There is your proof that I am tiered.

Harry Patel

The Evil Leprechaun

Pages 0- 0.1

In this “book”, a kid goes to each cereal on a stormy night. When he goes to put the cereal away, he puts it away in the refrigerator.

I absolutely hated novel. This wako nut job goes down to eat cereal. The author doesn’t even tell us his name. Another reason why I hated this novel was because it was not worth any A.R. points. It took me three hours to read this stupid novel, and I don’t even get any A.R. points!
I bet it only took him two minutes to write it!
