Brisingr - Christopher Paolini
Pg. 425-Finish
Roran and his troops are attacking enemy soldiers when they realize they feel no pain. The enemy soldiers start getting back up, laughing horrible laughs, when any normal man would be dead. Roran and his troops have no clue what to do so they just keep fighting. When they give injuries to the major organs they realize that is how they can kill them. Then Eragon at Tronjheim, the dwarf capitol, waiting for them to elect a king gets attacked. He has to fight other dwarfs in a room no bigger then a bedroom. Eragon's guardians are fighting with him when Kvistor, the main guardian, sacrifices himself to save Eragon. When Eragon finally kills of the attacking dwarfs it is too late Kvistor is dead. Eragon looks at his sword and it is broken. Eragon realizes he needs a rider’s sword. Saphira is no beginning to miss Eragon. Eragon then goes to visit Kvistor’s mother a member of a weird clan. Kvistor’s mother takes the news then cuts of her finger. After visiting Kvistor’s mother Eragon is summoned by Orik who has some important news. Orik found out who attacked Eragon, members of the Az Sweldn rak Anhuin. With this information the members of the court who will choose the new king banish the leader of the Az Sweldn rak Anhuin, the main competitors from Orik becoming King. Then Roran and his troops try to concur a city. To there dismay the Galbitorix’s army is there waiting for them. Roran disobeys orders and retreats to safety with his troops to find a better plan. When they attack again Roran has 270 kills by himself and they take siege of the city. For punishment of disobeying orders Roran is forced to have 50 lashes to the back. Back at the Dwarfs kingdom Orik is elected the new King of the Dwarfs. For his coronation Saphira replaces their sacred stone and that earns the trust of all the Dwarfs. Then Eragon goes to Ellesmera where he meats his mentor. His mentor tells him the truth about why Galbatorix is gaining so much more power. The Dragons have a thing called the hearts of the hearts were they still live even after their body dies, with there powers and everything. Galbatorix is using their power to add to his own. His mentor then gives Eragon his own dragon’s heart of the heart, incase they need his strength or wisdom. Also there Eragon learns who his real father is, Brom, his old mentor. Eragon is the really happy. Then Eragon gets his own rider’s sword named Brisingr. When Eragon goes back to the Varden he discovers the Varden are attacking a new city. Eragon comes and meats a Shade. There he kills the Shade with the help of Arya and Saphira. While they were fighting Eragon discovers his mentor and his dragon die in battle.
I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait in till the new one. I feel he is a very good author though; he wasn’t as good when he was younger, and it is a good premise for a book. I feel there is action around every corner and it is not very boring. I like the fact he puts so much detail in a sentence you learn a lot about the characters, setting, and the conflict. I really enjoyed this book.

Guess what. I’m still on the same book.
I read from page 161- 250 something.

Ok. So in the past few weeks, I’ve only read less than 100 pages. I think you probably know the reason. The good part however is that I am almost done with the stupidest book in the world. It’s twelve o clock right now, so I don’t really remember much of it. All I remember is that it starts off with some kid going to snowboard with pigs. Oh yeah that’s what his name was. Percy Jackson; the really “cool” son of Poseidon. So anyway, he and his friends get into a fight with giant pigs. Then they realize that duh, we can snow board down a slope, and the giant boars won’t be able to follow. Really. A two year-old could have thought of that. Then, he does the most craziest thing. He takes out a bazooka, and blows the boar into smithereens. ………….. I’m just kidding. He doesn’t do that. What actually happens is that his friend takes control of the boar, which takes them all the way to a desert in New Mexico, I think. In that desert, they encounter the junkyard of the gods. What are the odds of that happening, he also encounters the goddess of beauty. According to him, she was incredibly hot. By the way he described her, she was as ugly as your regurgitation. Ok. You are probably getting board right now, and I am getting board of writing, so I am going to speed it up. After that, one of the girls gets crushed by a giant robot. Then, they go up a river only to encounter another problem. The Hoover Dam. Wheew. Didn’t see that coming. Over there, he encounters monsters. In order to escape, he prays to the gods to bring metallic angel to life. The angels take him all the way to a place. I think it was San Francisco. Any way, they see a drunk guy saying “angels from mars” when they get there. Then they see a lion guy thingy who wants to kill them. They call there camp councilor, and he telekinetically defeats the lion, and that is pretty much where I left off. Oh yeah. Remember that poor little defenseless fish cow that I knew was going to be foreshadowing, yeah; he kind of turned out to be the key to destroying the gods. Who knew.

I think this portion of the book was interesting. It was a little weird, but it was o.k. for those of you who only read this because you think it’s funny, I know this was not one of my best pieces of work. I’ll try better next time. Quite frankly, I’m running out of jokes. O.k. to tell you the truth, I have other homework, and I’m really board right now, so I’m not doing as good a job as I could.

O.K, and that concludes our portion of Percy Jackson. Well see you next week on another edition of (all) Stupid and Retarded books.

Thank you.

Story of a Girl
Pg. 183- finish

In this part of the story, the main character Deanna, leaves another message on her friend Jason's cell phone. She wants him to call her back because they kissed and he is dating her other best friend, Lee. She gets called in for work, because she needed to fill in for another worker. When she got in, her co-worker Tommy came in. The last time she saw him was when he offered to drive her home, he took her to her secret place where they used to go do it. When they went there, they gonna have sex again but Deanna said no. When they arrived at her house, he apoligized for the things he did to her in the past but she didn't say it was ok. Later her brother, brither's girlfriend, and their baby came in. When her brother saw Tommy, he got pissed, but Deanna told him to leave it. The next day she talked to Jason and told him that she was going to tell Lee everything that happened. He didn't like the idea and wanted no part in it. Later Deanna got a phone call from Lee saying that she was back in town her, Jason, and Deanna should McD's. When they went, Lee started cursing at random stuff and was pissed. Deanna was shocked by the way Lee was acting. SHe looked at her and started to wipe her tears away saying- "It's okay. DOn't say anything. It's okay." There Deanna figured that Lee knew because Jason told her. One day her brother, his girlfriend, and their daughter were thinking about moving away. Deanna offered to give them the money that she was going to use before to move in with them. Her brother refused. So many weeks went by and Deanna still didn't call Lee and apoligize. At the first day of school they seemed to kinda forget what happened and prepare themselves for junior year.

Breaking dawn
(i'm starting from book two because it's split into three books)

Book two is in Jacob's point of view. Bella and Edward are back from their honey moon and since the werewolves can read each others mind, Seth and Sam have something to tell the pack. It turns out Bella is "sick" but Jacob doesn't believe that. He goes to the Cullens house and finds the vampires crowding around Bella and Bella looking bruised and weak. Bella stands up and grabs her stomach indicating to Jacob she's pregnant. Edward makes Jacob come outside with Emmett and Jasper to talk to him. Turns out, Bella won't let any of them take the baby out even though it's killing her. Rosalie is guarding over Bella like a security guard so they can't just knock Bella out and take the baby out. Edward pleads with Jacob to try to get her to abort and have a baby with Jacob. She refused. When Jacob gets back, the pack decides they have to kill the vampires to get to Bella. They're attacking Tonight.

So far, I'm not really getting into Breaking Dawn. It's an alright book, but it's not grabbing my attention. I do really like how a part is an Jacobs point of view though, I love Jacob.

Sundays At Tiffany's-
James Patterson
Pg 72-92

Michael went home thinking about Jane as he went into his apartment. Owen (his neighbor) invited him to a party. Michael met Cindy, they talked all night. She wanted to spend the night with him but he knew he couldn't do that. Though while they were talking they did both fall asleep. For a while he was talking about Jane. Cindy wished Michael the best of luck with Jane in the morning. Meanwhile, Jane went home depressed about Hugh not comming to dinner. She was so depressed, she ate her hidden box of oreos. This was for emergency depression only. The next day, Hugh met Jane at work with flowers asking for forgiveness. Jane was falling for his big lie when she remembered Hugh was an actor. Michael started to trail Jane at a safe distance, something he had never done. He wasn't sure why he was doing this but he felt the need to do it. Michael didn't know why but he went into the building on 52nd street. He recognized it as Jane's mothers company. As he watched her, he noticed she hadn't changed. She was still being let down by people but still her friendly self. He decided to wait in the lobby for her. When Jane came back out of the elevator Michael saw Jane with Hugh. Michael trailed them and heard them talk about "thank heaven" Jane's play. He followed them to a resturaunt. He realized that Hugh wasn't really interested in Jane. He was more interested in Jane's mother who owned a production company. Jane's mother was turning the play into a movie. Jane didn't feel Hugh would be the right person to play Michael in the play. Michael goes to the diner with Owen (the one Michael and Jane always went to.) Owen is a "womenizer" basically what that means is that he sleeps with every women he lays eyes on. Owen thinks all women are "tools". At the end of this chapter Owen tries to get with a girl at the diner. Michael won't let him and Owen tells him to stop judging him.

This is still a pretty good book. I can't believe i'm still not finished it I'll have to start reading every day on the way to school since i have a 35 minute ride and i'll be done for the day. I think Jane is going to call Michael a stalker and he will explain himself. I think at the end they will get married? I think it's about to turn into a chick-flick thing aha

The novel I am currently reading is called the troll king its author is John Vornholt. The reason I choose this novel is because it was short and worth 8 points, not much but I don’t care. This novel is categorized as science fiction. My best guess is that the book was created between 1950 and 2000, the reason I say the book could have been written in 1950 is because John Vornholt became a well known author at that time according to wikipedia.

The protagonist in this story is named Rollo a troll he is of the male gender and was currently at the age of 14 in the book. Rollo is a troll who is different from other trolls; he actually wants to go out on adventures and has a fetish for sniffing flowers. But every one around Rollo wants him to become a hard working troll who has the labor of producing bridges so others like the mighty soccer Sytignus Rex can transport safely to a destination of his choosing. But on page 99 of the story Rollo is captured with other trolls and is tolled he has to make bridges and it was not optional but obligatory that he do it. WELL WILL ROLLO ESCAPE AND GO BACK HOME- I DON’T KNOW SO I WILL JUST LEAVE YOU WITH A CLIFF HANGER.

New Moon
Pages up to 475 from the last time.

Okay so Jacob is a wherewolf. Edward called Bella's house and was like "Where is Charlie?" and so then Jake answered the phone and said "At the funeral." Edward assumed that it was Bella's funeral and so he went to Italy to get himself killed because he doesnt want to live with out Bella. So then Alice and Bella get on a plane to go save Edward and Bella finds him and now they are talking to the gods.

This book is super good although a little a drawn out. And i expected the re uniting of Edward and Bella to be more dramatic but what ever. its a really good book.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Pgs. 210-305

The book is becoming really suspenceful. After Harry is continually being avoided by everyone, thinking he is the Heir of Slytherin, it finally ends. On Christmas day, Harmione says the Polyjuice potion is ready. They go for it. Harry is Grabbe and Ron is Goyle. Harmione is supposede to be Miliciant Bulstrode. However she refuses to come out of the stall. Harry and Ron head off to the Slytherin common room. They go talk yo Malfoy, and find out that he really is not the heir of slytherin and was probly not the person who opened the chamber of secrets the last time. Later Ron and Harry coem to find out Harmione had had cat hair and she was a cat. She recovered, and everything was better. Hoever a few days later they find that a book was thrown at Moaning Myrtle. It was an odd book. Someones old diary. Harrry becomes obsessed with Tom Riddle's diary. He opens the book a few days later and as he writes things, someone is writing back. It gets into the chamber, and apparantly he kows all about it. He takes Harry back to the time it happened, and this guy belives Hagrid was the one who opened the chamber and the killings were made by his huge moster of a spider, but Harry does not believ it. One day, Harry finds his room a comelete ess. someone was looking for the book. After a week or two, there were more attaks. One being Harmione. She will recover but she is petrified. They find a note in her hand, and see that the monstor that has been whispering to Harry all the time is in th pipes. It came in the bathroom, that is where she was petrified. Harry and Ron go to Hagrids where he is taken away, thhinking he is the bad peron. Dumbledoor is asked to step down, and Harry and ron go to see Hagrids old montor spider, and are alomost killed. But they find out Hagrid did not open the camber or kill anyone, nor did the mostor kill anyone. They later find out soemone has been killed. Ginny Weasley. Hogwarts becomes unsafe. Harry and Ron later with the halp of a sad Harmione, find the chamber. They enter it, find a huge snake skin and Harry ventures off to find the snake in the chamber.

This is a very good book, and i expect it to get much more suspenseful. I think that as Harry is looking for the monster of the Chamber, it will become even more exciting. I think however, that since I saw the movie, it does have an impact on how i see the book. I most likely made it less exciting by doing that rather than what most people did. But still, this is a very good book.
