I don't expect for everyone to be reading all of the time. If you are between novels at the moment, simply post that you are not currently reading anything.

The titan’s curse- 1- 90

In this section of the book, Percy, Annabeth, and Thalia go to a boarding school, because Grover, goat boy, called for help. When they get there, they get find two half bloods guarded by a monster. The monster therefore attacks all six of them. Just when it looks like all hopes are lost, Artemis, the god of the hunt, comes to the rescue with her group of hunting girls. In the process of trying to save the beast, Annabeth disappears. Ooooooooooo. Spooky. Then, they realize that they need to go back to camp, so Artemis calls up her brother Apollo, the sun god, to give them a ride. In the morning, Apollo makes his appearance in a ridiculously awesome car. It’s too bad there are twenty people, and the car has two seats. Apollo changes his awesome car into a van. In five minutes, they touchdown at camp. At camp, Percy has a dream that Annabeth was in serious trouble, trying to hold up a ceiling, which quite frankly doesn’t make sense to me. Anyway, Percy being Percy, goes up to the prophesy mummy Delphi, and waits for an answer. He doesn’t get an answer. The next day, when Percy and Thalia are having their water, lightning fight, which I think is awesome, the prophesy mummy comes out of the sarcophagus, and gives a prophesy, and that is where I left off.

I think this book is going to be a stupid book. It is probably going to be the same as the other two. The conflicts don’t even make scene. I mean come on, a girl trying to hold up a ceiling while waiting to be rescued. A two year old could have thought of that. Even though I think this book is stupid, I am still going to finish it because one, I’m curious, and two, I need the points.

P.S. – A ceiling. Come on.

Breaking Dawn
Pages 1-138
jillian (:

So far in Breaking Dawn, Edward and Bella are planning to get married. Jacob has run away when he hears this and he isn't present to be the "Best Man". Bella allows Alice to do her wedding to make her happy. At the wedding, (which is beautiful, thanks to alice :D ) Jacob shows up. He asks Bella if she's turning into a vampire tonight and she says no so he's happy about that. Then Edward and Jacob fight and Jacob has to leave without saying goodbye to Bella. Bella tries her best to just shove Jacob out of her mind for their honeymoon. Edward won't tell Bella where their going until they get there. After their sixteen hour ride, They get to Isle Esme off of Rio. Bella and Edward finally well, do it. After two weeks on the island, Bella keeps getting violently sick then she realizes it. Bella calls Carlisle and asks if it's possible that she can conceive a child with Edward and he says yes. Bella is pregnant.

Personally, I really like Breaking Dawn so far. Edward and Bella seem to be really happy together on the island and seem to get along well married. As always, I do feel bad for Jacob because he's out of the picture. Poor Jacob.

I'm reading Sunday's at Tiffany's by James Patterson. Sorry i posted this on 2 pages...

Jane has a birthday party planned by her mother. This was right after her mom's huge Broadway show that was a huge success. She was upset because the only people invited were adults that she didn't even know. They were mostly from the show Her mom even forgot her birthday. Somehow Michael got the piano player to get everyone to sing happy birthday to Jane. That was the one time on this day that Jane felt good. The thing she wanted most for her birthday way a dog. Her dad finally shows up that she never gets to see because her parents are divorced. He brought his hot wife there because they were going to go to Jane's favorite place. She thought they invited her but they didn't and she was very disseminated. Jane just knows his present will be a dog. It was a dog but it was a stuffed poodle. Jane almost cries because nothing is going right. She runs up to her room shuts the door and starts crying. Michael comes in to check on her. He sees her crying and is very sad because he's going to give her even worse news. He has to leave forever. He explains to her that when a girl or boy doesn't feel alone in the world anymore, an imaginary friend has to leave and go to another kid. He also says that she won't really remember him. It will be like a dream. After she is done sobbing Michael disappears like a person in a cartoon. Now Jane is 29 in the next chapter. This is where i left off.

This is still a pretty good book. I think in the next couple chapters Michael will come and meet Jane again.

Miracle On 49th Street
Mike Lupica
Pages 20- 55

Currently in this part of the book, Kimmy who's mom took Molly in, finds out that Molly skipped school to go to the Celtics fan day. She also found out Molly got to talk to Josh Cameron. When she was talking to Kimmy about it, Kimmy's mom found out. Molly said this was the maddest Barbra has ever been. Molly was grounded but she doesn't know how long she was grounded for. At school the next day, Sam surprises Molly with Celtics tickets. These were ground tickets. He got them because his uncle is a reporter. Molly is excited and Sam plans for Molly to talk to Josh Cameron about Molly's mom dying. Molly's mom was Josh's first love. Molly says her mom used to say how Josh was all about himself. Molly could see that out on the court. Within ten seconds of the game ending, Molly thought josh was pulling up for a jump shot but he passed it to a teammate and the player scored to win the game. This was the first time since Molly met Josh, that she actually liked him. After the game, Molly and Sam see Josh run off the court. They know he was going to his car, so they go out the stadium to the parking lot. They know what kind of car he has and they wait for him. And that is where I stopped

I feel like Kimmy is really annoying. She keeps asking questions when Molly wanted to be alone. She seems like she doesn't understand people well. Also, i feel like Molly doesn't put herself out to people. She only has one friend at school and when people talk to her, she doesn't want to respond. Also i feel like Molly doesn't fit in with her new home. Molly is more of a relaxed person who keeps to herself. Kimmy and Barbra need to know everything. Kimmy's dad is not mentioned accept for one time when Molly is getting punished.

Alexander
Brinsinr - Christopher Paolini
Pg. 1-425

I stopped reading lord of the flies because it did not carry my interests and I wanted to read an adventure and fantasy book. Brisingr starts out with Eragon and Roran going to the Ra'zac's lair. The Ra'zacs are hunters who hunt man and they serve for the evil king Galbatorix. Eragon and Roran want to kill the Ra'zac because they murdered their father. They are also going to the Ra'zac's lair because Roran's girlfriend Katrina is being held hostage so that Galbatorix can use her to influence Eragon via Roran. When they get to the lair they kill every Ra'zac except for one who hides. When they go to rescue Katrina Eragon senses her father Sloan. Eragon does not want Roran and Katrina to know about Sloan so he keeps Sloan in his cell. When Roran and Katrina are about to leave Eragon says Go with out me I have to kill the last Ra’zac. Roran and Katrina leave Eragon. Eragon then finds the last Ra’zac and kills him. Then he goes to Sloan and releases him. Eragon and Sloan go travel south to the Varden though Eragon has no intention of letting Sloan go to the Varden. Eragon has too choices to do with Sloan, kill him or set him free. Sloan was the one who told the Ra’zac where he was. Eragon thinks about who Sloan is as a person and finds his true name. Your true name is what people can use to control you. Eragon uses Sloan’s true name to do the harshest punishment he can do without killing him, he forbids him from seeing his daughter Katrina. A few days after Eragon reaches the Varden there is a battle. King Galbatorix sends an army of 300 to attach the Varden. That number is weak considering the fact the Varden has 1,000 troupes. Little do they know Murtagh, a dragon rider just like Eragon, is in the battle. Eragon is sent to fight Murtagh alone and by himself but, with the aid of other elf magicians. Eragon is just barley able to hold of Murtagh but, Murtagh is forced to leave the battle. Eragon heads back to the other troupes to find out the Varden are losing. Galbatorix put spells on the army men to make it so they felt no pain. The only way to kill them is to cut off their heads. Once the Varden one the battle Roran asks Eragon is he would do him a favor. Roran asks if he would marry him and Katrina. Eragon accepts. One the marriage is over the leader of the Varden sent Eragon on an important mission. The dwarves are electing a new leader and she wants it to be a dwarf that is a Varden supporter. The leader of the Varden sends Eragon so that he would support a dwarf that would support the Varden. Being a dragon rider Eragon has a lot of power and prestige.

I really enjoy this book. I feel that it talks about the mind and it always has something exiting going on. I enjoy this author a lot though in his earlier books I noticed he put words that did not fit the sentence. I feel that Eragon has a lot to live up to being a farmer’s boy then becoming the most powerful person on the Earth. I don’t like though the fact that the author drags on unimportant events. I do enjoy however the battles. I am a big supporter of fantasy and adventure novels.

Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton

Beginning: chapters 1 - 3

Mike Bowman, his wife Ellen and their daughter Tina travel to a beach in Costa Rica to relax. Tina runs off to play and notices bird tracks all around in the sand. She also sees what she thinks is a lizard standing on its hind legs and tries to bring it to her. Tina starts to scream and gets her parent's attention who then start looking for her.

The Bowman family arrives at a nearby clinic to meet with Dr. Cruz.Tina has small bite marks all over arm. The Bowman's show the doctor a picture that Tina drew about how the lizard looked. Dr. Cruz asks another doctor to examine Tina and the picture and he says that Tina was bitten by a basilisk lizard. He also states that Tina's drawing is inaccurate. The Bowman's know how smart Tina is and believe otherwise. Samples of the lizard's saliva are sent to the university in San Jose.

Tina insists that the lizard walked on three toes and walked on its hind legs.

So far the book is very interesting and slightly different than the movie.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Pages 136-174

This part of the book contains multiple important events. Starting form where Harry, Ron and Harmione were at Nearly Headless Nick's Deathday party. They had decided to leavem and as they were walking to the regular feast, Harry heard the same voice that he heard when he was with Professor (I use the term lossley) Lockheart. It was sying kill, and rip, and tear...it caused Harry a feeling of caution, and excitment. He followed the wall to another corridor, and on the wall the three soptted the words: THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS HAS BEEN OPENED. ENEMIES OF THE HEIR, BEWARE. Below the writing, Mr. Filch's cat was lying on the lamp post, most likely dead, but later confirmed that she was petrified. As the three stand watching the whole feast ends, and all the students come and find the three on the scene, and think they did this. Professor Dumbledor comes to retrive them. Professor Snape wants them gone, but Dumbledoor lets them go. Later, Harmione, Ron, and Harry are looking in to all of the craziness that has been taking place. The decide to find out if gthe Malfoys have been doing all this so the decide they must hear it from Malfoy hismelf. They figure out ways to get a potion to be able to transform there bodies into others. It is expected to take a month to make the potion, and they plant to change themselves into Slytherin house kids. In the mean time, Harmione aks in class what the chamber is. The professor says it is a chamber in which not one person has found, was created by Slytherin, when the four people were putting hogwarts togther. It mwas made becuase he didn't think muggle-born kids should be allowed into hogwarts. It is said to contain a monster that is more vicous than anything. However the professor says, it is a myth.

I think that the story will become really good, and better, mmostly beacuse i saw the movie, but also by instint and information that i have form the book. I like the book spo far, even better than the movie. I am excited to see what is going to happen to Harry, Ron and Harmione.

New Moon--great book(:
Up to page 111!
New Moon is a continuation of the awesome book-Twilight. So far in this novel, Bella's birthday came up. She went over Edward's house, and while opening one of her presents, she got a paper cut. And she bled. And the house full of vampires saw and went crazy. For a while after that, Edward distanced himself from Bella. And then, when Bella could bare it no longer, Edward told her the news. His family was moving away from Forks, Washington to California. This means uh-oh spaghetti-o's for Bella because she is absolutely head over heals in love with Edward. But of course he comes back because there is still another 2 or 3 books in the whole series. yay. so anyway...Now I am at a part where Bella is in Port Angeles with one of her friends and these stalkers are following them. fun right? yeah, no.

This is a SOOOOPER good book. I love it. I think that they develope the story really well because i just want to sit and read and read and read and read and read. And before I started Twilight, i didnt really even like reading. But now i cant stop. wooo hooo A.R. points!

Just Listen
1-20

Annabell Greene used to be friends with Sophie, but all I have found out in the book so far is that it ended bitterly, and they went through a whole summer without trying to talk or put any of this aside. Annabell and Sophie met when they were 12 and in the line for the snack bar. Anna was with her best freind, Clark. The next day, Sophie was there, but she was following Anna's older sister, Kirsten, around. On the third day, Anna dicides to go up to her and introduce herslef. But that didn't end well. Instead, Sophie starts insulting Anna. Kirsten comes to Anna rescue by insulting Sophie right back. Clark and Anna take all the things Sophie left behind in her rush to leave, back to her house. Clark and Anna apologize to her for Kirstens behavior, but Shopie starts crying right on the spot.

I think Sophie will go back to her old mean self and get mad at Anna. That might be why they were in a fight. I have read most of the Sarah Dessen books, and I love the things she writes about. Annabell is the popular girl, only when she is in highschool. And thats where the book starts off. I go back and fourth between the present amd the past. It gets a little confusing, but in the end, it makes perfect sense.

Party Girl
1-79 pgs.
This publisher for this magazine Absolutley Fabuous, Amelia Stone is a partier. Her best friend (for right now) Stephanie and her are always on the party scene. Stephanie has this 'friend with benefit' Gus. There is this Mexican, Alex who supplies her cocaine. Every party she goes to, she snorts. In the begginning of the story, she was at a friends wedding being held at her house. There she got stuck with the youngest groomsmen. They were about to have a menage twas (threesome) when she remembered that her parents were at the house, too. So she just quickly left. Then he guys gave her a call (his name is Chris) and they went to this resteraunt/bar. There, the other guy from that night, Rick, came to. She got completley drunk and pretended that there was a sick family memeber. Outside she met Gus and his friend Adam. Adam took her home. At a party, Amelia got so high that she made out with Gus and Stephanie saw. She and Gus left leaving Amelia by herself. Then she saw Adam and said that the party was getting busted so he took her home. While talking, she kept excusing herself to do more coke in her bedroom. When she came back to him, she made out with. Out of no where he pulled back and accused her of doing cocaine. She couldn't tell him if it was true or not. Sohe left and said he would call her. Next day at work, she got an email from her friend Stephanie that said she didn't want to be friends anymore. Later, Amelia's boss told her that she was going to do an interview on this British singer Kane. When she met him they talked, and he that he wanted to continue the interview at his house the next day.

I think this book isn't for me. So i returned it back to the library yesterday and got three different books. Other than that, the part i read was still good. I think that Stephanie could have handeled the situation better than just emailing Amelia saying that they should stop being friends. And i think Adam should let her explain the coke incident.

In Brisingr, Eragon's saga continues. Eragon and Saphira help the varden hold off the evil forces of galbatorix's army. after the battle of the burning plains, Murtagh was revealed to have survived and was being forced to help galbatorix. eragon traveled to the dwarf capitol of Farthen Dur to participate in the elections for the next dwarf king. during this time, he is attacked by the members of the dwarf clan The Tears of Anuhin. Because of this breach of etiquite, the clan is expelled from the elections. Eragon's foster brother, Orik, is elected the next dwarf king and uses his influence to help the varden overthrow galbatorix. He then travels to the elven kingdom of Du Weldenvarden. he begs the elf smith Rhunon to forge him a new Rider's sword. She refuses him because she swore never to forge another weapon as long as she lived. She then tells him that she might have a way to forge him a sword but she does not even have the metal that she needs. She tells him she needs a special metal called brightsteel that is only found in the wreckage of a falling star. he then searches the entire forest and cannot find any. Saphira reminds him of the prophesy that the werecatsolembumgave him, "When the time comes and you need a weapon, look under the roots of the Menoa Tree. And when all seems lost and your power is not sufficient, go to the Rock of Kuthian and speak your name to open the Vault of Souls.
